Hello there.

Well, I am getting soooo close to my next mini goal.  Another 1.5 lbs to go and I will be so excited!  I honestly don't know the last time I weighed under 200 lbs.  I think I surpassed the 200 lb mark some time during undergrad (1998-2002).  Most likely it was early on in that period.

The Couch to 5K training program is going well.  I did my 3rd Week 3 workout today (longest run 3 min).  I may repeat a few of this week's workouts before moving on to Week 4.  I have to work 7 days in a row next week, so it's going to be tough to get in any workouts during that time.  I am worried if i jump to Week 4 after not running for a while I won't make it through it. 

I am getting together with some of my friends tomorrow.  Luckily 2 of them are doing WW too, so that helps.  I will be bringing WW friendly cupcakes to share (1 box of cake mix mixed with 1 can crushed pineapple with juice).  One of my coworkers made these and they were awesome.

Long time....no blog

I guess I haven't blogged in a while.  Let's see, what's new?  I am closer than ever to hitting my next goal (199 lbs here I come).  I should be there in the next few weeks.  In other news I am keeping up with my exercise and have started a 5K training program (Couch to 5K, google it if interested).  I have never been able to run a mile.  Even in high school I had to walk some.  I am currently on Week 2 of the program and it's going pretty well. 

Easter weekend I let the Reese Pieces eggs get he best of me (hence the tiny little loss this week).  I hadn't been tracking my food either for the week, so I only have myself to blame.  Oh well, time to move on.  Speaking of which i better go write down what i ate so far today  :o)

Hello

Things have been going pretty well this past week.  I had an AWESOME weigh in today (down 4.2 lbs) and I am getting very close to hitting that next big milestone (199 lbs here I come).  I had originally set that goal for my birthday (4/29) but i am quite certain I will get there by early April (only 6 lbs to go).  I have also been exercising consistently, and I think that is definitely helping things out. 

I bought my first pair of Levi jeans a few days ago (LOVE 'em), and soon will no longer be able to shop at Lane Bryant!  The size 14s there fit now, and that is their smallest size.  My one piece bathing suit from a few years ago fits, but I am having trouble finding a tankini that actually holds me in up top.  I would like to have a 2 piece to wear in St Croix!  I can't even imagine what I will weigh come my May 9th departure.....190ish?  wow, it's been a long time.  As I said before I was 187 when I graduated high school (1998). 

I had bloodwork done at my doctor a few weeks ago.  My cholesterol had been increasing in previous years.  I haven't gotten a copy of the results, but she said she would call if anything was abnormal.  Must be good news then!  I was battling high blood pressure before as well, and that has been picture perfect as of late.

A few mini-milestones

Hi!  Long time no blog.  Just a few random thoughts concerning my weight-loss, presented to you in list form:

1. I'm finally feeling smaller.  By this point, I've lost *almost* 30 pounds, so you'd hope I was feeling smaller a while ago, but no, just now.  :)
2. A couple of weeks ago, I realized that my BMI had moved from "Obese" to "Overweight."  Hooray!  I'm overweight!
3. As of today's weigh-in, I am 0.6 pounds away from being the weight on my driver's license.  Hee hee.
4. I look forward to working out again, though now that I have a full-time job (finally - yay!) I'll have to work to plan it in.  I've had a series of colds for about 5 weeks now, and think I'm finally kicking this last one.

So, yay.  I still feel like I get to eat quite a bit, and the pounds keep melting away. This is why I love Weight Watchers!  My grandma told me she made cookies the other day and hid them from me, but I had to convince her that they were "on my diet."  Because, everything is.  And man, those cookies were tasty!

Jen has totally been showing me up in the blog world, so I'll try to be better now.  :)

This weekend

So yesterday I walked outside for 15 minutes then spent at least 2 hours cleaning my apartment.  This morning I went to what I thought was a "normal" aerobics class to find out we were guinea pigs for the new class (Body Attack!).  My instructor had been talking about this class last week saying it was like her class but on crack, and now here it was.  It was incredibly fast paced, but I was able to keep up with some lower impact modifications and I think I torched a lot of calories!  I was drenched in sweat.  Whew!

My new motivation to stick with this fitness routine is that a friend and I are going to St Croix in May!  I am definitely looking forward to some snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, and lounging on the beach.  And this year I won't have such a hard time finding a bathing suit!  And there are a pair of Columbia shorts in my closet that fit, so clothes won't be such a big issue either!  I can't wait until this trip!
